Hello, Internets-At-Large. My name is Robert Gauthier. I go by Rob most of the time, and I am a volunteer and student at Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC). I have been attending the college as a student since last Fall and will complete my second semester of year two in the IT Systems Management and Networking specialization shortly. I worked for the college over the summer as a Junior Systems Administrator on a part-time basis, specializing in PowerShell scripting and deployment and management of certain specific project goals (such as a full-scale, cross-campus WSUS deployment). I continue to volunteer my time helping in the data center as I attend school at the campus. I have also begun work in the Help Desk of Technical Services.
I will be graduating from the program this spring and am currently seeking work as a Systems Administrator in either a Windows or Linux environment, as a Network Technician, or in a help desk / tech support role. I want to find a lasting career in the industry, with employers that I can be proud to work for, that will value my strong work ethic and quality of results.
